Clifford Franklin Burnett was born March 30, 1925 at Broken Bow, Oklajoma to Marvin Key & Lela Pearl McIninch Burnett. He marrked Colene D. Wright. No marriage date has been found.

Clifford registered for the military draft March 30, 1943 at Sedgwick, Wichita Kansas. He enlisted with the US Army March 17, 1934. A discharge date has not been found although below is a Hospital report that he will be discharged with a disability.

Clifford Franklin Burnett, 95, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2021, surrounded by his family.
He was born March 30, 1925 in Broken Bow, OK. to Marvin and Pearl Mcininch Burnett.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Colene Wright Burnett, two brothers Jack and Glenn Burnett, one sister Mary Ellen gates and son-in-law John Coleman.

He is survived by his children, Franque Coleman of Fort Smith, Michael (Ruth) of Lavaca, AR., Mark (Judy) Burnett of Shady Point, Ok.. four grandchildren Anthony Burnett of Lavaca, Daniel (Christi) Burnett of Ozark, Morgan (Billy) Hooper of Poteau, OK. and Mandy (Matt) Bovos of Edmond, OK. and seven great grandchildren Kalie, Adam, Landrey, and Preston Burnett, Hadley Hooper and Harper and Parker Bovos.

At the time of his retirement, he had been a printer at Dixie Cup for 34 years. During his retirement, he enjoyed going to the Senior Center in Lavaca, to eat, visit friends and of course, entice someone to play a game of cards of dominos.

He was a former treasurer for the 1st United Methodist Church in Lavaca, where he and Colene attended services for years. During the 2019 Lavaca Centennial celebration, he was honored with a plaque for being the oldest living veteran in Lavaca. He was a World War II veteran, serving in General George Patton’s army during the Battle of the Bulge. Above all he was a devout Christian who loved his family and loved gathering at holiday time and family reunions. He loved Sudoku puzzles, and his head never hit the pillow until he had read verses from his bible. He was loving kind, giving man: a good husband, father and grandfather, and he will be missed by all.

A celebration of life will be at 10:00 a.m. Thurs, March 25, 2021 at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Lavaca, AR. with burial at Oak Valley Cemetery (South of Lavaca). Viewing will be from 9:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Lavaca, Ar. Family will great friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Michael, Mark, Anthony, Daniel, Adam and Preston Burnett. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Hooper and Matt Bovos. Lunch will be served at The First Baptist Fellowship Hall following the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR
